ISLINGTON Labour councillor Liz Davies is continuing with her libel action against two other Islington councillors and one former councillor. All three claimed that she had been involved in physically disrupting an education committee meeting which took place in November 1994. A numaccused of "inciting violence".

She did not decide to go to court until after two letters had been sent to each of the councillors asking them to set the do this not only to clear her name but also to protect her professional reputaLiz and her supporters say that it appears that the three councilors are receiving support from "people with extensive financial resources". She herself has no such resources and a defence fund has been established. Davies Libel Fund, PO Box CR54, Loods. LS7 3XW.
