Blier Merci la Vie (Thank you Life) is very dificult to describe.
The title is heavily ironic: the film basically tells the story of two young wolnen, one or whom nas AIDS, and the way in which she is treated by society as a whole, and by men in particular However, it is the way in which the film is out together that is inter. esting. The film moves from colour into black and white and back to colour; characters comment on heir actions as they are making so it is never clear whether of not DeoDe are Themseles of characy ters' in the film.
The chronology jumps about with numerous flash-backs - some of which are impossible, putting the women into scones shar took plice before they were bom!
There are breaks in continuity. so the women sometimes finishi a scene wearing diferent clothes to those they had on at the beginning.
